So I'm making a small pause on the 20 week program, and I'll focus on life drawing for a while. Understand the body and its physicallity is very important for me, for simple and powerful plannings.
Speaking of planning I recently read a huge and powerful book called "Simplified Drawing for Planning Animation" from Wayne Gilbert. I really think every animator should have this book. To summerize, it's about how to make powerful plannings in the simpliest way. A posing in stick figures is as expressive as one with flesh and bones. Always seek for the simpliest way to show force and emotion in posings.
Always remember KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid !)
Sometimes in production animators will not have so much time to plan animations so make them simple will save a lot of time.
So here's my new decision, find a way to simplify my drawings in my thumbnails as much as I can.
Life drawing, simple thumbnails, forces, rythm, contrast, everything is linked, and nothing should be leaved behind so I'll try to focus on them for a moment.
Here is some life drawings...
PS : Sorry if my drawings look a little...racy. The only nude gallery I found on the web was this http://www.nuexpo.com/galeries.htm . Beautil artistic photos, but some of them are... well go check by yourself...
